How it began and why I like the Sims 3?

By Lola Peach

I've always liked playing simulation games. I could sit and play these games for hours and hours and really get in the mood. Nonetheless I had not owned a single sims game.

Once when I was leaving a certain company, my team brought me a copy of Sims 1 Pets. Their excuse was I liked pets and I also liked simulation games. They presumed I had already own the The Sims collection. I soon realized this appears to have been an expansion pack and not a stand alone game, which lead on to me purchasing the original game, The Sims and all expansion packs leading in to the one I had received.

From that day onwards, I haven't looked back. It has been Sims all of the way. I can remember being excited about Sims 2, we could eventually see other lots in the neighbor. By the end of The Sims 2 franchise, sims were able to travel around the neighbourhood lots, travel abroad to bright destinations and explore, they were able to have pets, have different season of the year and own their own companies. I was quite content with all that we had, until The Sims 3 was launched.

Sims 3 opened a gigantic door for players. We were able to see the whole area, shops, neighbours, parks, beaches, diners, etc. You could see all the sims of your home wherever they are in the town. I am still annoyed that we can't see within some building (rabbit holes), but perhaps which will come later in another expansion pack.

It's pleasant to be able go out with your sims at watch them socialise at parties, look in other sim's houses and generally be nosey. They can drive cars, motorbikes and scooters in town.

I believe I'll be playing sims until a ripe old age.
