Ipad2 versus Kindle Fire

By Bill Ingvall

The Great Features of Amazon Kindle Fire

You get to enjoy a much quicker browsing experience with this unique web browser built by Amazon since it has Silk that is a new type of mobile browser that's able to predict which pages you might want to view and pre-loads them. You also get to have the maximum experience of the basic online features which can include connecting with your friends on Facebook or Twitter, listening to music, watching films, sending emails, and reading PDFs.

The Kindle supports Adobe Flash web content unlike the iPad 2 which does not. The system performance of this amazing Kindle Fire includes a dual-core processor, a micro USB 2.0 port, and an estimated 8 hours of battery life. Personally, I believe Adobe Flash is necessary to have a better browsing experience.

The Kindle Fire experience would be mostly great with the added Amazon's cloud storage and cloud processing. The same with Apple, the Amazon can create a back up with any digital media you purchase, like those apps, music, and e-books. Any time you like, it can also serve the files back down. Moreover, it does not only archive your purchased files but it also store any additional content you wish to access, such as photos, documents, music, etc. This is through the Amazon's included Cloud Drive service offers another 5GB of storage.

The Amazon has also a vast server farms which are good also for more and not just on storage. The Kindle Fire's unique browser is responsible in splitting the work of loading web pages between the device and Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) system. This would lead to faster page loads and some predictive loading of content and sites you access often is made quicker. Indeed, this feature cannot be seen by any other tablet on the market, not even the iPad.

In addition, the Amazon Kindle Fire gets to have full access of all the contents offered by Amazon. This means the user can have Kindle eBooks, over 100,000 on demand movies and TV shows to choose from, up to 17 million songs, and "hundreds" of magazines and newspapers. Those most popular Android apps and games via the Amazon Android App store can also be accessible. The examples of these most loved games and apps are Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, Plants vs. Zombies, and a lot more. What's great to hear also is that the Amazon's suite of digital stores and services are all pre-loaded and ready to go right out of the box.

And lastly is the display screen. T tell-tale sign of any sub-$300 tablet is poor screen quality, as what we have tried to experience. The Amazon's tablet may seem to buck this trend. Using the same wide-angle IPS screen technology as the iPad, this device has a 1,024 x 600-pixel resolution display.

Thanks to Amazon's Kindle Fire and the solid suite of existing services they've built for Android, this $199 Kindle Fire is one iPad alternative which you can successfully have.

Amazon Kindle Fire, a new trend today, is a compact and pocket-friendly tablet with a 7-inch IPS LCD gorilla glass display with 16 million colors. The one which is in control of this is the android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is a modified version of Google's operating system. You can have an 8GB internal memory which comes with it.
