I Love my Xbox 360

By Michelle Kathleen

As of late, I have been contemplating getting a new gaming console. Over the two of years, companies have come out with new and more improved consoles that have rendered the previous generation obsolete. I have decided that after having my current X-box for 4 years now that it is time to buy an upgrade. With this in mind, I threw my X-box console into an old book bag and headed outside.

While walking down the hill to the parking lot, I started thinking about what system I should trade in for exchange for my old one. Out of the recent video gaming console releases, the Nintendo Wii was best known for having the great kids games as well as the very good family games. With me being on my own in college, that was out of the picture, as I prefer more adult style gaming.

Once I got the the nearest game store, I remember reading on some forums online that the Playstation had several games that might be of interest. On top of that, I have also heard that it also is able to act as blu-ray player thus increasing the amount of entertainment that you get from it. When I thought about the Playstation, I thought it would probably be a fun console to use to play games on.

I got out of the car, I started walking towards the game store when I suddenly recalled having a conversation with my friends about the new X-box 360. They were telling me how the wireless feature that it offered was a giant plus of this game system, along with the various accessories available for the X-Box 360. Besides, after all the experience I had with my own X-box, I convinced myself that it was best if I stuck with what I know and already love.

After all this careful consideration of the details of each console, I finally came to the conclusion that the xbox 360 was the way to go, perhaps. Walking into the store, I went up to the counter and asked about trading in my X-box and upgrading to an X-box 360. As luck would have it, not only did they have some in stock but also they were doing a special that I could take advantage of getting some extra savings. I graciously accepted the trade and bought my new gaming console. I breathed a sigh of relief having made my decision,

I excitedly hurried out to my car and sped home to set up the new form entertainment system that I just got. I ended up spending the rest of the day setting everything up then playing video games. The fun I was having caused me to forget about the time and I ended up missing supper. Realizing how involved I became with it, I wondered how this would affect my work life balance. However, after thinking on it, I just dismissed my concern since I had been too much overtime lately. Moreover, I was busy having fun with all the new games this great new console has to offer.
