The Diablo 3 guide you are about to read will help to get you on the ground and running in the exciting new action role-playing game. We will take a look at the five character classes, discuss some tips for fast leveling and seek to gain a better understanding of what makes this game so special. This game has been in development for quite some time, so lets not waste any more of it and get right down to business!
Diablo III is classified as an action role-playing game, or aRPG. This style of game differs from your standard role-playing game because it is a bit faster paced. Also, this type of game typically involves much more frantic button mashing and clicking and requires you to engage many more monsters at once for a feeling of overall action.
The view in Diablo III is a perspective top down angle. This allows you to see a great deal of the environment around you while still providing a really immersive 3D feeling. The game is control with both the keyboard and mouse. Your primary and secondary attack buttons are typically the left and right mouse button with four other ability slots available to map to your keyboard.
When you open Diablo III, the first thing you'll need to do is choose a character class. There are five to pick from. Each character class gives the player a totally difference experience with the game, which allows for nearly unlimited replay value. If you're into melee fighting, choose either the Monk or the Barbarian. If you prefer to stand back a bit and attack from a safer distance, pick the Wizard or Demon Hunter. If you can't make up your mind, there is one more option.
And then there's the Witch Doctor. The Witch Doctor is a bit of a hybrid class. They are able to do both melee and ranged damage and can also summon a variety of pets to fight for them.
Depending on which character class you choose, you experience the game in 5 completely unique ways. I recommend trying them all! Remember though, once you get into the harder difficulties, you will definitely want to be very good with at least one particular class in order to survive. Make sure to spend a bit of time mastering a class before moving on to the next!
An important thing to remember when out questing is to always bring health potions with you. You'll never know when you need a bit of a health boost to prevent a death. I usually try to bring at least 20 with me at all times. Fortunately, many of the monsters will drop health potions during battle so hopefully you can stay stocked up!
When fighting groups of monsters, or even bosses for that matter, make sure you keep an eye out for damaging effects in the environment. Often there will be lava, toxic clouds, fire and other deadly things that you'll need to make sure you avoid standing in. Nothing will kill you faster than trying to take on a group of enemies while simultaneously burning yourself alive!
I hope you have all enjoyed this brief Diablo 3 guide! The best way to get better at your character and faster at leveling is to practice. Well what are you waiting for? Get off the internet and go play some Diablo III!
