Assassins Creed Coming into The TV and The Motion pictures business

By Jules Grimm

New Regency and Ubisoft reported the other day that our much loved franchise Assassins Creed, is going to be made into a movie.

Whilst the words video game and motion picture inside the same sentence inspire worry, melancholy and at worst, depression in us gamers as we consider back on films including Doom along with Hitman with wishing for what they could have been, this information provokes within me hope that Ubisoft might just be on the right track.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the movie alternative of the game titles development company with the same label, made in January 2011, are going to be maintaining complete creative power over the film. Which is actually a good thing! With the movie script by now being written as well as actors already cast, we will hope that Ubisoft provides the same degree of story and enjoyment they are doing in their online games.

Ceo of Ubisoft Motion Pics, a man known as Jean-Julien Baronnet proclaimed "Bringing aboard New Regency's renowned production and distribution expertise while maintaining our own creative and financial flexibility ensures that Assassin's Creed will be a high-quality film that respects the lore and fans of the video game franchise."

The production business New Regency, has produced a few very highly scored motion pictures in their time for example "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "Natural Born Killers", nevertheless they have produced some serious flops including "Daredevil". However Jean-Julien went on to express "Ubisoft chose to partner with New Regency because they are a talented filmmaker-driven company, with the same independent and creative mindset that we have at Ubisoft Motion Pictures."

New Regency are presently taking care of the Rabbids Tv show, that is to be made from Seventy Eight times 7-minute episodes done in CGI. in partnership with France Televisions in addition to Nickelodeon. Did you have any idea that was on the cards? This is the first I've heard about it, but it may be really interesting, not that I actually watch television ever. Cuts a lot of into my game playing time, but I will certainly keep my eyes open and rent this on the web as soon as it comes out.

The main cheese in New Regency - Brad Weston, told us "We wanted to do everything we could to secure the rights to Assassin's Creed, which Ubisoft has maintained with such care and quality over the years." Well I am confident you did Brad, only have a look at the sales associated with Assassin's Creed within the last few years, but here is a tip for you: These AC game titles are great... damn good. You may not get the exact income statistics if you can't make your film every bit as good as the games, or even much better. So there, I said it.

He proceeded to say: "Having just finished working with Michael on Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave (with Plan B) made the partnership even more irresistible."

And by Michael, he means the Michael Fassbender (the person that played Magneto in X-men First Class) who is already onboard to play an integral part within the motion picture. Who will he play? I am not sure, I would envision he is either likely to play Desmond Miles or maybe Altar ibn-La'Ahad... Say that A few times fast. However my own money is Desmond, since they appear much the same and Michael is German born, which puts him in a weak position to play Altar, despite the fact that he can play both theoretically.

In addition, i discovered one more fantastic bit of information, which I am incredibly enthusiastic about, and forgive me in the event you already knew this, but Ubisoft Motion Pictures is not merely working on a single video game to motion picture adaption. They're at present already in development with Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. Now there are a couple of films I would personally really like to see.

Also to add to the amazing Assassins Creed 3 reports today, you may have discovered this in the media, in case you've not or perhaps you wish to see in High definition at your personal pace, here's the brand new Television spot for Assassins Creed three. Find it here: http://youtu.be/mc-J2cZEAxE

Assassins Creed 3 is released on the 31st of October on Playstation 3 and also Xbox 360
