Capcom Went Crazy?

By Almog Moreg

The resident evil series is a huge horror based series, but in the last addition of resident evil, six Capcom decided to go for a first-person shooter type of game was that the right choice? Let's Find Out.

First of all, I must say that the mere fact Capcom tried to move from horror game to a more action-oriented game is very interesting and brave as the game truly had a great deal of followers who waited for it every single year and by moving from their normal style, they might stand to lose everything.

The game is to slow these are the kind of complaints you can expect from the hardcore first person shooters players who will test Resident Evil 6 but for the hardcore horror gamers this will just be to fast.

The game itself although fun to try got is share of problems, Capcom went a little over board with the actions the player needs to take in every single short scene inside the game.

Capcom also got too carried away with the movies letting you spend a lot of time just watching the game instead of actually playing it.

No first-person shooter player wants to move from is battlefield or call of duty game to a clunky first-person shooter that's why the controls are so big in this type of games, and Capcom didn't mange to create good controls for resident evil 6.

Can a none hardcore gamer enjoy the game, basically my answer is not really but if you really like stories you might enjoy the story line of resident evil 6.

On the other hand, Leon's campaign is the one that will usually please most of the resident evil series fan as its the closest to the old style of the game.

On the bright side, the infected killing part is at least still a lot of fun and with the extra new moves plus the old-style kick the head bashing is pretty fun.

As I mentioned before if you enjoy the zombie killing you can enjoy it even more thanks for the "Mercenaries" mode that is coming back with resident evil 6 until the clock strikes zero you can kill those infected to all your heart content.

Building tension and fear are a great thing when you are building a horror game but when you're moving to the first-person shooter realm, it has nothing to do with the game.

Low scores on gamespot and many major gaming websites doesn't predict resident evil a bright future.

Many old gamers were annoyed and felt betrayed but Capcom but will they mange to make this work or not only time will tell...
