By Albert Alves

Facebook is the new world and as such most are coming to exist within the 2 dimensional walls and all of the functions it has to offer, one of these functions is the ability to conduct online games with ease which help us further out networking skills through the use of invitations and the providing of gifts to maintain a friendly neighborhood. One such game within the social network will be discussed in this article, which is a Cityville guide.

To enjoy and participate in this fast growing world, users must first be a member of Facebook, once membership is gained, users can either use the Facebook search function to seek out the Zynga created game or investigate their friends profiles to see if they are members of Cityville, if your friends have their own neighborhoods they will probably invite you to play, if not, message them and ask to be invited, the more friends you have as neighbors within the game, the more levels you will be able to unlock and the more items will become available.

Once the terms and conditions have been accepted and the game has access which you have approved, growing your city is as easy as opening the game interface. Upon arrival in Cityville you are greeted by a tutorial which will guide you through the basic game play within the game including the build function and the construction of houses and businesses for the city.

Goals will be assigned by the tutorial guide and continue throughout play, these help you rise to the next level. Friends on Facebook contribute to your city, the more friends you have, the faster this progression will be. If you can understand basic concepts of this game, it will be easier to get started in Cityville.

Each time you create anything you are rewarded with resources, which bounce into the game screen waiting to be clicked and accepted. The first resource is known as cash and coins which you use to build structures such as houses for you people, community centers and businesses, which earn you more coins and cash through providing a service to the town.

The next resource is energy, this is one of the harder resources to generate because every function performed uses energy points, although every five minutes another unit is added to your resources. It's best not to try and perform too many functions early on so you will have enough of the resource to get you to the next levels. You also gain energy when you go to visit the city's of your friends, this is the easiest way to generate energy.

Crops from the farms you build will generate a resource known as goods. Use these goods to stock and supply the businesses you have built within your city. When the businesses use the goods they create a service which generates more cash and coins to use to build more businesses or community centers. As you advance through the levels you are able to establish trade with your neighbors using the goods.

XP, or Experience Points are the key resources to step you up through the levels, the more tasks you complete, the more points you will earn. Each new level unlocks more tools to use and businesses to build, crops to sew or functions to add to your city.

If you are looking for a game to keep you entertained for hours on end, then look no further then this highly addictive game which has surprises throughout game play to keep you interested.
