Mods In Black Ops

By Carlos Reyes

Modding companies are releasing modded controllers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and World at War that aren't compatible with Black Ops. Not dropping names, because they ain't nice, but Treyarch looked into fixing what they called their "modded controller" problem back in December that destroyed the functions on a lot of Black Ops mods.

A lot of time has past since that patch, but only 2 months after them, they undid the patches for less severe ones. Those patches were glitching the game far worse then before so the mod blocks have been weakened. Gamers don't have to worry, modding companies have since mastered the newest patches and gotten around them to continue making mods for Black Ops.

So to answer that common question we get all the time, yes, our controllers work in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Our rapid fire also works in a number of other games that people that have already purchased our controllers don't even realize. Our rapid fire works in Crysis 2, Left 4 Dead games, as well as Grand Theft Auto IV.

The majority of the weapons found in Black Ops are compatible with the modded controller functions such as the common rapid fire and jitter mod. Weapons that benefit the most from our rapid fire are: FAL, pistols, M14, and the Python. Jitter mod controllers have their own list of weapons that work best for them and they are the: M16, G11, and the Spas-12. If you love to play Call of Duty games and find yourself digging Call of Duty: Black Ops, you are doing yourself a disservice by not getting a modded controller.

May 3rd has come and gone, which means that we have the 2nd map pack for Black Ops. This map pack comes with 5 additional maps for $15 dollars, 1200 Microsoft Points, for those of you that can't do the translation in your head. The last map pack sold over 1.4 million copies so you can expect this pack to do similarly well. Our modded controller do work with this map pack. They haven't released a patch to stop our mods from working and you can expect us to keep working on hard on developing mods that survive patch after patch.
