New Xbox 720 Will Most Likely Block Used Video Games

By Thomas Larson

Just a month ago, there has been reports that the upcoming game console from Microsoft, dubbed by many as the Xbox 720, may be utilizing a technology that could be used to blocked used games for the console. This comes from the fact that studio developers are not making any profit compared to retailers who are making lucrative earnings in the video game market.

Even if such major move from Microsoft would upset a lot of gamers, which would include the technology to be built within the hardware and which could pay way to future game consoles that will use the technology, there is nothing much gamers could do but to embrace the technology unless of course there is a technical or physical problem with the console which can be serviced under warranty.

The method for such modern technology induced a divide with game developers. One developer states that it is better from protecting against gamers from playing any sort of utilized games. He recognizes the method of Microsoft and why the business might wish to take the method however he thinks there is an additional method of approaching the problem at hand.

The developer took place stating that as long as the video games being circulated are physical in good condition and they are circulated as physical materials, participants have the right to buy and offer them. Paying as much as almost one hundred bucks a game is a ton particularly if the gamer winds up by having a dud and needs to live with the game.

If the gamer dislikes the game, he has the option to avoid keeping it and would be better off selling it instead. He believes that gamers should have the benefit of deciding which games are best suited for them rather than pushing them to accept a title that is not to their liking. It still remains to be seen as to what the new Xbox will offer.
