By Christa Garrett

There are some game servers that are just plain better, faster, and more advanced than others. The popular online game, Team Fortress 2 has some of the best servers available associated with the game. You can expect, with a TF2 server, fast speeds, no clippings, and the latest functionalities available to date.Part of the reason for the popularity of the game is the high quality of the game server that hosts it.

There are 9 different classes, based of different skills and abilities, that you will become familiar with playing a TF2 servers. The 9 classes are broken down further into three different subclass categories. The three subclass categories are based around support, offense, and defense. While one does not have to play within these parameters, playing within the classes is a way to ensure that you have the right skills and abilities for the team oriented missions.

In the support category are the characters the Medic, the Spy, and the Sniper, which have specialized skills and capabilities. These characters, as the name implies, are tasked with providing indirect support in order to help complete missions successfully. The Medic is charged with keeping teammates healthy, and, well, alive. The Spy cloaks himself to be indistinguishable from other players, while the Sniper provides long distance reinforcements.

Making up the offensive category is the Soldier, the Scout, and the Pyro. The Scout may be the weakest player on the game, but he makes up for it in both speed and agility. The Solider, while not as fast as the Scout, is far more tough and durable. One tough baddie on the game is the Pyro.Outfitted in a fire retardant suit and gas mask, he launches all sort of fire based offensives on his enemies. This category of classes is, obviously, designed to be on the "front lines" of any missions.

The final category in Team Fortress 2 is the defense category. Within this subcategory are the classes the Heavy, the Demonman, and the Engineer. Charged with handling all matters defensive, this will be the class you want to use in the event that you are under attack. The Heavy is slow, but quite tough. The Heavy can sustain the most damage of all the classes on the game. And his health is easily replenished by eating. The Demonman comes armed with two different styles of grenade and rocket launchers. His mission or purpose is to combat attacks indirectly. And finally, the Engineer provides on the spot defenses for his teammates.

Depending on which "side" of the game you are on, and what your specialty or area of interest is, you might choose to play a particular class. Each of the different classes comprised within the three subcategories comes with its fair share of strengths and weaknesses. When it comes to selecting your class, the type of battle or game you play, as well as what classes your teammates are choosing will help you determine what your best choice would be. Get ready for a fun gaming experience, but keep all these things in mind.
